The Crisis' have started.
So Jessie (Rob's wife) just about didn't get to come. She called yesterday in a panic saying she forgot to change her passport to her married name. Cala immediately said, "I knew something like this was going to happen! I just thought it would be Rob!" And then to which Dad emailed and said, "I just talked to Gulf Air and they wouldn't let her on without the name on her passport matching the ticket. She can't go." To which I replied, "Well, I'm still taking Baby Sarah." Anyhow, 7 hours and dozens of calls to American Airlines, TSA, and each other; 'The Great White Hope' (AKA -Dad) got the ticket changed to Jessie's maiden name free of charge and she's good to go. No small feat since he did it in Bahrain! Way to go, Dad! The trip is still a go. Now where are our matching berets.......

OMG! Crisis deverted, thank goodness. I hope this is the only crisis you'll have your whole trip. Enjoy! Have a fun safe trip!!!
ReplyDeleteTell Jess that I can just picture her panicked face right now (as I'm smirking while reading your post)! I'm very impressed with your dad's work to make it happen. Nothing like starting the trip with a little stress. (Packing everything into 1 carry-on would've been enough stress for me...)
ReplyDeleteObviously this is Megan talking & I just have to use my husband's google account to post!
HA! If you are anything like our family I'm sure this won't be your only problem! Hope you are having a great time so far, I am laughing just thinking about National Lampoon's European Vacation. Watch out for the guy on the bike, and look kids Big Ben. Anyhow I will be checking in on you!
ReplyDeleteSteph, I can't tell you how many times we've used "look kids, Big Ben". We've done the roundabouts more than one time around frequently.
